Ephesians 4 and 1 Corinthians 12 tell us that God calls Prophets to be a gift to the Church. While the Church has a theology of who and what a Pastor, a Teacher, and an Evangelist are this is lacking when it comes to the Office/Ascension Gift of a Prophet. The problem is that, like Apostles, Prophets are foundational to the building of the Body of Christ.
ROLE – Raising (Prophetic) Owls, Lions and Eagles is a course aimed at three things: 1) helping people discern whether they are called to the Office of Prophet; 2) if called to the Office discerning their metron, where they are called to exercise that Office; and 3) helping Pastors and Elders understand and thereby pastor and disciple Prophets and emerging Prophets who are part of the church they lead. The image is the three main “outworkings” of the Office of Prophet – watchmen (owls), Nabi word Prophets (lions), and the seers who have dreams and see visions (eagles).
ROLE – Raising (Prophetic) Owls, Lions and Eagles does not “commission” Prophets as Fire and Storm does not exist to provide covering to people as it believes that Prophets need to be part of a local church and accountable to its leadership.
