Fire and Storm is a Christian ministry which aims to help people become Psalm 25:14 friends of God. The name comes from the various descriptions of God’s presence throughout the Bible. God’s throne in heaven is repeatedly described as surrounded by cloud with lightening coming from it, while God is referred to as being a “consuming fire” or as surrounded by fire. This God of fire and storm came as tongues of fire and a rushing wind on the day of Pentecost in the person of the Holy Spirit – the fire and storm that was there on Mount Sinai is now in us.

Psalm 25 verse 14 speaks about people who are friends with God. The word for friends here can be translated as friendship, intimate council/counsel. The image is of close friends being sat on a couch discussing personal and intimate things. This is also the word using in Jeremiah 23:22 where God speaks of the lying Prophets, “if they had stood in my council” they would have spoken God’s word not things from their own desires and imaginations. The aim of Fire and Storm is to help equip people to become those friends of God, who sit in His council and who speak His word.

Fire and Storm facilitates a number of projects and initiatives to help people become Psalm 25:14 friends. These include:
